As the Silver Lion Farms (Hemp & Cash Crops) & True Harmony Company (Cannabis) Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be an integral part of our executive team, driving the development and execution of our sales and marketing strategies. Your expertise will be key in establishing Silver Lion Farms & True Harmony Company as a market leaders in providing healthier alternatives to traditional products currently available in the market. 

In accordance with Silver Lion Farms & True Harmony Company’s annual business plans, the Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing, executing, and advancing the company’s go-to-market strategies — with a principal focus on sourcing and closing a variety of deals across a wide range of B2B clients, including but not limited to Cultivators, Extractors, Co-Packers, and ingredient companies.  

This is a 100% remote position, based in Pacific or Mountain Time Zones

This candidate has a proven record of success in leading sales and marketing teams, scaling revenue, and achieving set KPIs in previous roles. They are not just strategic but have also demonstrated tactical and hands-on acumen, moving strategies into execution, as required for an early-stage, growing company. Leadership competencies are essential; they must have demonstrable success in nurturing, guiding, and growing high-performing sales and marketing teams.

Core Duties & Responsibilities: 

Marketing Strategy

  • Solidify and promote a distinctive positioning and brand voice for the company in the market. 
  • Oversee the development of marketing, product packaging, and promotional materials. 
  • Implement data-driven marketing campaigns, where appropriate, that effectively reach our target buyers, identify prospects, and convert those prospects into loyal customers. 

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive consultative sales strategies that align with the company’s branding and growth goals. 
  • Lead and mentor the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation. 
  • Identify and explore new market opportunities to accelerate growth. 

Research & Insights 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the cannabis industry trends in Nevada to include customer preferences and competitor activities. 
  • Leverage insights to inform specific plant variety opportunities, product development, and marketing strategies. 
  • Based on the market, establish product pricing strategy in conjunction with the CEO. 

Partnership Development

  • Build strategic partnerships and collaborations with other industry players, influencers, and key stakeholders wo fulfill on vertical integration opportunities.  Examples include:  
  • Cultivators 
  • Extractors 
  • Packagers 
  • Retailers 
  • Represent Silver Lion Farms and True Harmony Company at industry events, trade shows, and other public platforms. 

Corporate Communications, including Public Relations (PR)

Lead the company’s external communication to include: 

  • Proactively positioning Silver Lion Farms and True Harmony Company with government agencies. 
  • Proactively seeking media and speaking opportunities for company spokespeople. 
  • Responding to media and/or agency articles and/or Blogs that mention Silver Lion Farms & True Harmony Company in a negative light. 

Social Media

  • Oversee the company’s efforts to extend the brand in social media.  
  • Oversee a Social Media Plan that contemplates current social media leaders (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and emerging platforms. 
  • Leverage social media to gain interest, establish ourselves as a trusted brand, and acquire new clients. 

Budgeting & Financial Management 

  • Collaborate with the CEO and finance and accounting team to establish the Sales and marketing annual budget that supports both company’s annual Business Plan.  Complete quarterly recasts. 

  • Continuously monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize ROI. 

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, MBA preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales & marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in cannabis. 
  • Proven track record in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that resulted in KPI achievement. 

Skills & Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the cannabis industry in the state of Nevada, including certifications, regulations, and market dynamics. 
  • Action mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making. 
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (we use Monday.com). 
  • Proven track record of leading, managing, and inspiring a team. 
  • Ability to set priorities and focus execution on those priorities. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Ability to make the “complex simple” in verbal communications and in client presentations. 
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
