VP of Operations
We are a vertically integrated agricultural organization operating across two complementary business entities, which include a 250,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cannabis production greenhouse and an organic alfalfa farming operation. With a dedicated onsite team of 40+ employees, we focus on operational excellence, sustainability, compliance, and long-term scalability across regulated agricultural environments.
The Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) will lead day-to-day operations across both business entities, serving as a critical member of the executive leadership team. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, accountability, and organizational stability within a complex, fast-paced production environment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations will partner closely with Human Resources, the Head of Greenhouse Operations, and the Manager of Farming & Crop Production to oversee production performance, workforce planning, compliance, and continuous process improvement. The VP of Operations will ensure alignment between people, processes, and production goals while fostering a culture of consistency, trust, and high performance across diverse teams.
This role requires a seasoned, steady leader with a strong operational mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to bring structure, clarity, and follow-through to both strategic initiatives and daily execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in highly regulated environments, balancing short-term production demands with long-term organizational health and scalability.

This role is based at our campus located near the base of the beautiful Ruby Mountains in northeastern Nevada, approximately one hour north of Ely. Our facilities are set within a scenic agricultural region known for wide-open landscapes, a close-knit rural community, and exceptional access to outdoor recreation, including hiking, fishing, and year-round natural beauty.
This is primarily an on-site leadership role; regular on-site presence is important for effective leadership and operational alignment.

Operational Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.
Executional Leadership & Oversight
- Provide strong, consistent leadership across both Silver Lion Farms and True Harmony Company, promoting a culture of accountability, respect, and collaboration.
- Works in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer to develop long-range, strategic plans.
- Develop data-driven insights to guide decision-making to increase efficiency and profitability in line with the company’s strategies and Business Plan.
- Work with the CEO and department heads to monitor and manage budgets, staffing levels, and KPIs across multiple departments.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between the farm and greenhouse operations and the executive team to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Key contributor in developing the company’s annual pro forma and budgets , and reconciling them monthly.
- Manage accounts, payables, and receivables to ensure effective cash management.
- Oversee daily operations of both the farming (SLF) and cannabis (THC) operations, ensuring production goals, compliance standards, and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
- Implement systems and processes that reduce inefficiencies, strengthen accountability, and improve team performance.
- Drive preventative maintenance and sustainability initiatives to optimize equipment uptime and resource use.
- Defines and implements overall operations strategies, structure, and processes.
- Responsible for reporting strategy, risk, timelines, and progress to CEO.
- Lead by example with a calm, professional, and approachable management style.
- Mentor and develop management to strengthen internal leadership capabilities.
- Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations, retention, training, and employee development to promote a respectful, positive company culture and safe work environment.
- Promote proactive communication across departments, resolving conflicts with fairness and transparency.
- Build positive relationships with local community partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Provides oversight of compliance to ensure all licenses and certifications are up-to-date.
- Works with the Farm Manager to ensure crop testing meets legal specifications.
- Partners with the Compliance Manager and Head of Greenhouse Operations to ensure CCB compliance, ensuring facilities and processes meet inspection requirements.
- Ensures alignment with the Safety and Security Director to confirm the company’s Nevada campus meets CCB, OSHA, and state requirements, and that trainings are conducted per company standards.
- Advanced degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred—equivalent experience considered.
- 10+ years of senior-level management or operational leadership experience in agriculture, cannabis, and production/manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading large teams and navigating organizational challenges with composure and integrity.
- Experience leading operations management, process improvement, and personnel accountability.
- Proven ability to manage and develop cross-functional leadership teams and frontline supervisors
- Strong understanding of production planning, process improvement, safety, compliance, and operational metrics
